Terms of Service

The rules for merchants who install the Shopvia app on a Shopify store. Last updated 18 October 2026.

Items in [square brackets] are placeholders. The owner fills in the legal entity name, address and city before these terms are relied on.

1. Who we are

Shopvia is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address] ("we", "us"). You are the business that installs the app on its Shopify store ("you", "the merchant"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you accept for a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.

2. What the app does

Shopvia is a Shopify app for Indian stores. It adds a one-tap checkout drawer to your storefront for cash on delivery (COD) and prepaid orders, with an order page for buyers, order tracking, abandoned-checkout reminders, COD risk controls and an admin to manage it all. It creates normal orders in your Shopify store. The features page lists what is included.

3. What you are responsible for

  • Your store, products, prices, policies and customer relationships are yours. Keep your settings accurate: prices, shipping rates, COD rules, and the text buyers see.
  • You use your own payment gateway account (Razorpay, Cashfree or PayU) and your own messaging account (such as MSG91), including any DLT or template registration they need. Their fees and terms are separate from ours, and you keep your keys safe.
  • You follow Shopify's terms and policies, Indian consumer protection and e-commerce rules, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), including giving buyers the notices and asking for the consents the law requires.
  • You do not use the app for unlawful goods or practices, to send unsolicited marketing, to get around security or fraud controls, or to reverse engineer the software except where the law allows.

4. Data and privacy

Buyer data that passes through the app is processed on your behalf, to run your checkout and orders. You decide why it is collected; we process it only to provide the service. What we process, why, where it goes and how long we keep it is set out on the privacy page, which forms part of these terms. We never sell personal data. Requests from buyers or from Shopify to access or delete data are handled as the privacy page describes.

5. Plans and fees

The app is billed only through Shopify Billing, after you approve the charge on Shopify's own page. Plans are:

  • Free: up to 60 orders a month.
  • Pro: USD 24.95 a month, up to 1,000 orders a month.
  • Advanced: USD 49.95 a month, up to 10,000 orders a month.
  • Unlimited: USD 69.95 a month, with priority support.

There is no wallet, per-order fee or percentage of sales. Taxes such as GST are added where they apply. You can change or cancel your plan in Shopify at any time; Shopify's billing terms decide how charges and refunds are handled. We may change prices or plan limits with notice under section 10.

6. Availability

We work to keep the app running and fast, but we do not guarantee uptime. The checkout is built to fail open: if it does not open in time, your theme's own buttons come back, so buyers can still order. We will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. Outages of Shopify, your payment gateway or your messaging provider are outside our control.

7. No promise of results

We do not promise any rise in conversion, any fall in returns, any ad performance or any approval by Shopify or another platform. Results depend on your store, products and traffic.

8. Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost sales or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. You are responsible for claims that arise from your products, your store content or your breach of law.

9. Ending the service

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app, which ends the service. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or the law, or if your use puts other merchants or buyers at risk. After uninstall your data is kept or deleted as the privacy page sets out, including deletion of a store's data 48 hours after uninstall. Sections on liability, data and governing law continue after the service ends.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for changes that matter, tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they apply. If you do not agree, uninstall the app before the change takes effect; continuing to use it afterwards means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [city], India have exclusive jurisdiction. Please raise any problem with us first, using the contact details below, so we can try to fix it.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms: OWNER_SUPPORT_EMAIL, or see the contact page. Legal notices go to [legal entity name], [registered address]. Data questions are covered on the privacy page.
